The New Children’s Hospital in Dublin is the most significant capital investment project ever undertaken in healthcare in Ireland. It is the structurally ambitious and intricately engineered frame which forms the heart of this new hospital. From exposed concrete finish elliptical columns, to twenty meter tall inclined columns, the frame, constructed by BAM Ireland and Kwik RC Frames, is vast in scale and incorporates innovative construction methodologies including Bamtec rebar carpets, 3,200 precast columns and over 5km of twinwall. Extensive and complex temporary works were necessary to deliver this structural frame.
